Andrea Robin is a visual artist who marries science and art, using the canvas as a portal between our inner and outer worlds. Born in 1983, Andrea currently resides in Vancouver, Canada, located on the traditional, ancestral, unceded, and occupied territory of the Coast Salish peoples including the hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓ (Hunkameanumn) speaking xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) people. Her work melds styles of abstraction and realism, creating emotionally affected pieces that invite viewers to explore the intricate relationship between the mind and environment. This approach is informed by Andrea's past education in fine art and ongoing learning in neuroscience and psychology, as well as a commitment to fostering healing through creative practice. As Andrea describes, 'Art can deepen our understanding of the relationship between our inner and outer worlds.' Her sensitive observation of color and light evokes empathy and communion with person, plant, and place.
